Here are a whole bunch of images of the miscellaneous high voltage things I've been up to over the past few years. The Newest stuff tends to be near the bottom of this page. The whole website is in dire need of an overhaul, but I doubt I'll get around to it so I'm just going to add onto it. Click any image for a larger version.

early version of halfbridge coil, powering small "plasma etcher" chamber. It actually did make teflon somewhat glueable after about 5 minutes of being hit with a normal air plasma

the plasma etcher became a CW tesla coil, and this shows the ionizing ability of the field around the coil - the chamber has been slightly rarefied

FESTER!

A lashed up version of the "plasma etcher"

Me and the CW coil as of March 2006. The thing has built-in low volatge DC supplies, one for the driver circuitry and one for the halfbridge of IRFP460's. At full power it draws about 3.5 amps at 40VDC. It's not efficient, the the MOSFETs need some serious fan cooled heatsinking to avoid self destruction.
